Midsommar (2019): A young woman travels to a festival that is held only once every 90 years in a small town in Sweden. But they discover that the festival's rituals are much darker and more dangerous than they imagined.
The folk song Hårgalåten
This song tells how the devil disguises himself as a violinist to make the city's inhabitants dance until they die.
Black Swan (2010): This psychological film follows Nina, an extremely dedicated ballet dancer who lands the coveted lead role in the production of "Swan Lake." Nina begins to lose control of her reality, facing an internal battle between her innocent side and her dark side, which leads her to self-destruction.
The shining (1980): Follows Jack Torrance as he begins to lose his sanity due to the hotel's supernatural forces, while his son Danny, who possesses psychic abilities, begins to have terrifying visions of the place's past and future.
The story is partially inspired by King's experiences at the Stanley Hotel, a supposedly haunted place in Colorado.
Shutter island (2010): Follows agents Teddy Daniels and Chuck Aule, who are sent to a remote island to investigate the disappearance of a patient at Ashecliffe Hospital, a mental institution for criminals. As their investigation progresses, Teddy uncovers dark secrets about the hospital and begins to question his own sanity and the motives of those around him.
